Unveiled on May 23, 2019, Oppo k3 was launched in China as a new successor to the oppo k1. Ahead of its launch, the oppo k3 specifications were leaked on May 22, on various websites like JD.com, Geekbench etc. The smartphone truly boasts of all the features that the leakers alleged.
Oppo k3 remarkably shares its features with Realme X, announced a week before. Let’s quickly dive into the handset’s configuration and specifications.
OPPO K3 SPECIFICATIONS:
Oppo k3 sports a full 6.5 inch bezel less SAMSUNG AMOLED display coupled with FHD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone is also embodied with a 6th-generation fingerprint sensor (in-display). It incorporates several other features like DC dimming, always-on display and stroboscopic eye protection. The handset flaunts a pop-up camera instead of a regular notch.
•Camera
On the camera front, Oppo k3 comes with the well-received, marketable dual camera placed on the back panel. Embodying a primary 16 MP camera and a secondary 2 MP depth sensor, the camera panel is vertically placed in the upper central portion.
Unlike, recently launched oppo reno, oppo k3 fortunately consists of a standard 16MP pop-up selfie camera instead of a shark-fin type pop-up. The phone comprises of other features like Ultra Clear Night View 2.0, multi-frame noise reduction technology and hand-held night scene mode.
•Connectivity
Like other phones in the market, oppo k3 has various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE support and traditional WiFi and Bluetooth connectivities. It has a USB Type C-port with a 3,765 mAh battery. The phone also brags a VOOC 3.0 Flash charge technology.
•Configuration and models
✓Hardware front:
Oppo k3 is powered and processed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa core processor. It also features GameBoost 2.0, touch boost and link boost.
✓Software front:
Oppo k3 runs on android 9 pie based colorOS 6.0 UI.
✓Models and variants:
The handset comes in three variants:
- A basic variant with 6GB RAM+64GB storage
- A high scale variant with 6GB RAM+128GB storage
- A high-end variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage
These variants are available at CNY 1,599 (Rs. 16,000 approx), CNY 1,899 (Rs. 19,000 approx) and CNY 2,299 (Rs. 23,500 approx) respectively.
For now, the brand has put in market two colors viz. Nebula purple and Secret black (green-hued). While it has been proposed that another color viz. Pearl white/pink will be soon in the market.
